091127 TVXQ – Big Bang Winning of Gold Artist Award in Japan, A Korea Prestige
South Korea popular group TVXQ and Big Bang were awarded the Gold Artist Award in Japan.
On November 26th, TVXQ and Big Bang stood side by side while were awarded the Gold Artist Award at “Best Hits Song Festival 2009″ airing by Nihon TV. Since TVXQ debuted in 2005, they took 2 years to be awarded the Gold Artist Award for the first time as for Big Bang, they got it after 5 months prior to their debut.
Since last July, three TVXQ members Micky Yoochun, Youngwoong Jaejoong, and Xiah Junsu have been involved in exclusive contract dispute against SM Entertainment which is leading to disbanding issue. After the last stage of a-nation Osaka in August, it’s been 3 months since all five members gathered together on stage, therefore this event has received overwhelming interest from all fans both in Korea and Japan.
When TVXQ was having an interview after rehearsal on the stage, the leader U-Know Yunho said, “I really want to perform on this stage soon,” revealing his wish, “We’re really glad for having the Gold Artist Award.”
“Best Hits Song Festival” is a J-POP awards event broadcast by Nihon TV to give out Gold Award and Rookie Award grand prizes. This is the continuing streak of Kpop artists winning in Gold Artist Award after BoA who won it in 2007 and TVXQ in 2008.

Btw, Best Hits Song Festival was held last Nov 26, the videos are up on the onetvxq forum but I will post those videos when all HQ vids are posted on youtube. The five of them performed, kyaaaa~ <3
