I'll be using that Happy birthday dolphin banner for this one whole week, instead of the Micky hot Micky banner.  Even if I am not happy with that banner, I wanna use it because I want to show some Junsulove~ I am very sorry, I'll make a better one with PS. [News] TVXQ Albums Sold for 6 Million Copies

TVXQ Albums are Sold for 6 Million Copies

The preliminary report was out, recorded that the male group TVXQ has been selling 6 million copies album throughout their career both in South Korea and Japan.

The report announced that after the accumulation of sales from TVXQ’s Japan and South Korea studio album, special album, singles, and DVD, it was figured that the total sales reached 6 million copies. The result also includes the aggregate information of sales record from the international fans.

Eventhough it’s only an informal record, however it still proves the special figure of TVXQ as Asia best group. Taking a look to TVXQ history in Korea for the last 5 years, the sales record of TVXQ 4th album ‘MIROTIC’ which broke 500,000 copies definitely stands out. For exact, the 4th album recorded sales for 540,000 copies. Total singles and album sales, including the 4th album is 2.058.000 copies, special albums recorded 283.000 copies, and Japan licensed album which is sold in Korea results in 525.000 copies, sums total of record sales for 2.866.000 copies overall in Korea alone.

Japanese sales record history is even more interesting. From the very first single released in Japan in November 2004, ‘Stay With Me Tonight’ to the latest 29th single release in last September from Jejung & Yuchun, ‘COLORS ~ Melody & Harmony~’, the group has recorded total sales of 1.788.000. In addition, the 4 released Japan albums and other special albums add 572.000 copies sold.

In fact, on last December 10th Japan largest TV cable USEN announced its annual broadcast rank and according to ‘USEN J-POP Comprehensive Annual Ranking’ (aggregate period of January 2nd to December 3rd), TVXQ’s ‘Stand by U’ was ranked the 2nd after Japan rookie singer JASMINE’s ‘Sad to Say’.

It’s not only that. In total 16 DVDs that are released both in Japan and South Korea, it records total number 774.000 copies sales. If the entire total number of sales are calculated together, it results in 6.000.000 copies sold. While the calculation system is not thoroughly comparing all the album sales charts in Japan as well as considering the South Korea problem occurring, it’s believed that the sales number is likely to exceed 6 million.

Taegoon is holding a live in Tokyo, and he received encouraging messages from members of Tohoshinki, in particular Junsu and Jaejoong. 

 

Junsu sent a message wishing good luck to Taegoon. He's good friends with Taegoon and he feels excited, and that he's got good expectations of Taegoon's song and dance performance. 

 

Jaejoong is also happy for Taegoon's advancement into Japan since they've been friends since elementary school. He says that he really wanted to go to Japan to show his support, but it's a shame because he's in Korea right now. He also wishes for everyone to show their support for Taegoon, and hopes that Taegoon doesn't injure himself and work hard. He also said that please look forward to seeing Taegoon and Jaejoong on stage in Japan~

Universal Records to release TVXQ’s 'Mirotic' in RP

Filipino fans of K-pop boy band TVXQ (aka DBSK or Dong Bang Shin Ki) are excited about the local release of the group’s The 3rd Asia Tour Concert “Mirotic” Live 2-CD album under Universal Record Philippines.

Spearheading the campaign for fans to buy the album is Cassiopeia Philippines, TVXQ’s fan club in the country.

The release of the album on Dec. 15 is more meaningful for the fans as they will also celebrate on that day the 23rd birthday of TVXQ member Xiah Junsu.

CassPH is planning to celebrate the Nationwide Dong Bang Day on Dec. 15 for the two events.

Fans are encouraged to buy the album and CassPH are planning to send their photos with the album and birthday banners to Junsu through AVEX, a record company which manages TVXQ’s activities and records in Japan.

Fans have been calling record stores Odyssey, Music One, Astroplus, Astrovision, O Music Video and the Landmark to reserve the album.

CassPH is also encouraging fans to text to MYX to make “Mirotic” number one on the music channel.

Universal Records said fans who’ll buy the album will also get free TVXQ posters.

TVXQ is a five-member pop group composed of Xiah Junsu, YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, U-Know Yunho and Choikang Changmin. The group debuted in 2003 and has a huge following in Korea, Japan and in other Asian countries.

The boy band is the first foreign male group to debut at number one on Japan’s Oricon charts in 2008 with their Japanese single “Purple Line.”

TVXQ has the largest fan club in Korea called Cassiopeia with about 800,000 members.
